The Bible says even in heaven we have a great cloud of witnesses cheering us on in our journey! We can learn from their experience, and wisdom. Not only by stories of people in God’s Word, but by fellow believers who’ve gone before us, or who are older and oftentimes wiser. On our journey to eternal life we too can receive human input. I like it because it’s constantly being updated with driver input. Is your spiritual tank filled? And just a warning, never, ever drive when drunk!Īnd be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess but be filled with the Spirit! Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior? There’s no other way to the Father and eternal life with Him!Īnother very important preparation for our road trip is to make sure we’ve filled our tank with gas! Jesus saith unto him, I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. Thomas saith unto Him, Lord, we know not whither Thou goest and how can we know the way? Thomas asked Jesus to show them the way to where He was going! Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors. Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
We are told that we will be guided along the way, when we look to Him for help! The Word of God is our roadmap! In it we are told obstacles to avoid, and the best path to take. We also look at a roadmap to see the best path, with the least obstacles. I don’t know about you, but if we’re going on a trip we make a lot of preparations before we leave.
